State Republican "The Badge of Honor Order " the Korean Theater of Musical Comedy

Korean State Republican (in 1968). Since 1966 - the Republican theatre, from 1974-present-day name. Created in Vladivostok (1932), has "the Badge of Honor Order" (1982).

In 1937, during the forceful removal of Koreans from the Far East, the theater was deported to Kazakhstan and Central Asia (Kyzylorda (1937-41, 1959-68), Ushtobe (1942-59), Almaty (1968). Originally, together with Uighur theater, located at the street Dzerzhinsky, 83 (former club of PCIA after the name of Dzerzhinsky, 1935, architect I. Burovtsev, a monument of architecture, history).

Now, it is in its own building. The auditorium has 198 seats. In a year the theater holds 50-70 performances, which are visited by up to 35 000 spectators. Theatre presents the musical, stage, vocal and choreographic art, held works (performances) of national classics and folklore, Russian and Kazakh, and foreign productions.

With the formation of an ensemble of "Arirang" and the National Ballet the geography tours of the theatre have extended. Since 1989, the theater began to leave on tour abroad: in the Republic of Korea, DPRK, U.S., and Germany.

In the theater are popular such musical comedies as "The village square dance" under Vladimir Gurkin’s play, "Pre Baikal quadrille," musical "Tale of Sim Chen" Tcoi Yeng-Gyn and Antonina Malyuchenko. The most successful productions of drama are: "And it's all about the woman," the play by Garcia Lorca, "The House of Bernarda Alba", "Arirang," Tcoi Yeng-Gyn, "The Legend of a girl Chun Hyang," Lee Yeng-Ho, "Memory" Lavrentiy Son and Stanislaus Lee "The Heirs" Dulat Isabekov.

In the theater work: drama troupe, solo vocalists, folk and ethnic group "Samulnori" dance group, a quartet "Premium". The leading performing artists are Alexander Moon, Rose Lim, Maya Pak, Zoe Kim, Benjamin Lee, Galina Kim, Antonina Pyak, Edward Pak, Roman Tcoi, Anastasia Tcoi and others honored artists of the RK.
