Monument to Tokash Bokin

is situated in Park of 28 Panfilov Guards along Kunaev street.

Monument of Art.

Height of a bust is 4.8 meters. A half-length figure was carved from a grey granite rectangle based on a model of a sculptor B. Abishev and an architect Sh. Valikhanov (1980).

The monument was erected in memory of Tokash Bokin (1890-1918), a participant of anti-war rebellion in Semireche who took part in an establishment of the Soviet power in Verniy in 1918.

He was nominated to the highest positions in the Soviet Government (deputy People’s Commissar on settlement of national relations, member of board of Regional Council of Peoples Commissars).

He died during a revolutionary revolt in Vernyi in September, 1918.
